As you've probably already heard, Lactodorum & Eckington aka Peter and Dave aka The Hornet & dodgydaved, have decided to hang their reviewing boots up. There seems to be many reasons behind their decision, but reading between the lines suggests that Groundspeak have been putting more and more pressure on the site's volunteer reviewers to change the way they handled certain caches and situations, which Peter and Dave understandably felt they could no longer do. For the time being, Deceangi is reviewing caches on his own, so you are asked to show a bit of patience if he can't manage to keep up to his usual "4 minute publish". Deceangi and the two outgoing reviewers will be recruiting two new reviewers in secret over the coming weeks - hopefully followed by a couple of days of "guess the identity". |

Aka "Cache of the Day". Martyn and Jane from The Stonefielders have started up a bookmark list called "The Yorkshire Caching Seal of Approval" . These are caches recommended by our forum users. |

Well done Jamie. At last you reached, and passed the 700 cache find marker. Well done. The cache was "They don't hang on me anymore." Any guesses what the cache title may be referring to ? Answers on a postcard please.... but keep it clean. Overanout |

Earlier this year I got reports of strange goings-on in the Rivock Planation, on the west side of Rombalds Moor (aka Ilkley Moor). Some cachers who had wandered off the public footpath had found makeshift shelters, generators and evidence of some recent path clearing through the trees. Having walked on the approved public footpath many times in recent years, I've seen endless groups of walkers take the easier option of walking along the tracks (private property). Bradford Council have been looking into creating some more public rights of way through the planation, however it turns out what was found wasn't evidence of this. The area is being used for Wargames every other weekend, more info can be found at http://www.cerberusairsoft.co.uk/ |
