This route starts at the visitors Car Park at Ogeden Water, a reservoir serving the nearby town of Halifax.  Surrounding the water is open access woodland, with well kept paths.  There aren't any caches in there (yet), but it's well worth a stroll.

Be warned that the visitors car park does close, depending on the time of year.

Click on the read more link for more info on caches and a map.

From Ogden Water head west, either along the track on the Golf Course border, or via a short detour in the woods.  Keep on the track, making a short detour to Ogden Water II .

By now you should clearly see the Ovenden Wind Farm, you are now heading for the viewpoint carpark for the next cache, Another Windy Hill (its Electrifying).

Now you are heading North West, along the track. Beware of cars, the track is very very bumpy (as I discovered when I travelled down it during a spot of night caching), so you may encounter cars doing all sorts of funny moves!  Of course if, like me, you do this at night, you'll miss out on the glorious view of Warley Moor Reservoir (a popular sailing spot).  If you've solved it, you'll have the chance to grab Nab Hill Letterbox  somewhere before the return stretch.

The return stretch starts when you turn East somewhere near the Nab Hill trigpoint.  Be warned you are now in open moorland territory, with all the risks that entails.  On the map below I've tried my best to keep the line on what I believe are well definied walking routes (it's been a while since I was last up there).  Please use your best judgement and keep on defined paths, rather than just following the arrow.

Soon after turning south, you'll pass Sawood Moss.  After that you'll come to Oggy Oggy Oggy, one of the oldest caches in the area.  From there, clamber your way down the Great Scar, and follow the paths along the water back into Ogden Water.

Found 65 minutes after the last one!
Yes, this was our first major stumbling block of the day.
We tried both old coords and the new ones, and had to resort to PAF!
After much sliding around in the mud we finally found it in a tree we had already examined and discounted.

I wouldn't say it is really in the base of a tree, it's more pushed up into the trunk.  In the end we found the new coords are spot on.

It was lovely to revisit the Ironbridge Gorge, somewhere I haven't been for almost 20 years.
